| Can
only be used on Samples and Synthsounds |
|
| Explanation |
| This
command is used to slide towards a target note that is actually the
note to be played. |
|
| What
does it do? |
| This
command is used to add colour to your music, not all notes in your
song are just played as they are, getting this colour means
performing little tricks to get different sounds and effects from
that note. Sliding is a good example from getting from one note to
another thus adding some colour to it. Imagine a vocalist singing in
a mono type voice just going from one note to another without using
that space in-between! their voice would sound rather dull. This is
where these little tricks come into play. |

numbers, allowed
parameters for both values are from

| Value
1 of this
command represents the initial speed of the portamento,
lower values equal slower slide speeds and higher values
equals faster speeds. The 2nd
value is used
to fine tune the speed in-between the two Notes.
unlike
03 this
command is independent of another note and when the slide up has
reach its final note,
it will continue to replay at that pitch until the note
is either switched off or changed by another note. |
| |
| How
to use |
| Insert
the Note
you wish to start from say as the example note, then on the same
track insert the target note (as in the example) and position the
cursor over the target note
(there is no need
to highlight the space in-between the notes).
Then go to Tools
in the Menu
and select either Generate
slides or generate pitch slide using command 03.
If you use
the first method this will calculate the slide for you and if you
sue the second method you can enter the values yourself. |
| |
| You
can enter Command 03
by hand, but I believe that this command is easier dealt with the
above method. If you use this method try incrementing value
1 in steps 2 or 3 (Depending on the BPM)
to have the slide move up in semi-tones and then use value
2 to fine tune the speed |
| |
| The
Command 03
can be used in conjunction with Commands
01,
02 and
05. To have the
slide to hold its note and then fade out at the end. |
