A Little History... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, I'm Blue and I've been using Med for absolutely ages. I first came
across Med when I bought a second hand Amiga 500 that came with a box full
of software. At the bottom of the box was a floppy disk with a program
called 'OctaMED Professional V3'. I realised then I was going to need a
bigger computer so with in a few days I sold the A500 and scrounged a bit
of cash from my folks and went and purchased a brand new A1200. I
was instantly hooked. Up until then, I had been using an Atari ST 520
running Steinberg's' Pro 24 (V3). I was desperate to expand my sound.
Thanks to Med, I did. I connected my synth to my ST and the Amiga and was
making tunes almost everyday for years to come. Admittedly, they were
really bad but at the time... you always thought they were hot!
Fast forward a few years...
I was getting needy. I wanted more. A friend bought me and wife a PC as a
wedding gift a few years ago. It was an AMD 350mhz machine with basic
memory of 128meg. I thought it was the bee's knees. After a few months of
pottering around I finally discovered the internet... and found Med
straight away! I was over the moon when I found out that there was a PC
version of Med and ordered it straight away! And the rest is history
really. I found it just as easy as the Amiga version but so much more
powerful. Again, the old adage of "I'm going to need a bigger computer"
cropped up again so I upgraded to an AMD 1.2ghz mobo with 512ddram. It
didn't end there but that's another story.
With Med...
With Med, I have written music for some computer games, a fashion show, a
radio program, a couple of adverts for the radio too and music for my old
band, Cyra Elia. I have even had a few tunes played on local and national
radio with Med being the core of the music.
I find Med extremely easy to use and I virtually use it in every song I
write even if it's just for a rhythm track or a funky bass line, I will
use it.
Music...
I enjoy writing intelligent ambient music and was number 1 in the
Australian MP3.com.au ambient chart for over year in 2002/2003. I've been
writing music for over 20 years and I don't really intend to stop. I was
signed a couple years ago but not as a solo artist but as a band (Cyra
Elia) but we got stung pretty bad so it's put me off going back into the
market - but if a good offer came along?
My main ambition is to score a movie or a computer game of the same
calibre. I enjoy 'designing' music. Sure, it's easy to write a cheesy
dance tune... people have even proven it's easy to write really crap dance
music but to write a score to a film or a game of the same ilk would be an
amazing achievement.
My music is currently available from
http://www.soundclick.com/bluejooz and is free to download
although I have got a few CD's for sale which is called "Mentalexhale"
and features the very best of my music and includes music that isn't
available anywhere else.
The CD is on sale at
http://www.ambientcollective.tk which also happens to be my
website which features a free forum, news, music downloads etc.,
from other ambient musicians.
The CD is available via PayPal and is only £5.

Other Things...
I currently run the independent Med Support site which is basically just a
forum really where Med Users can hang out and exchange ideas, tips, music
and samples and such. I also design graphics for forums, websites and
other people.
Here is the address for the Support Forum:
http://forumer.com/medsupport
When I'm not on the computer, which is rare, I love spending quality time
with my wife Rachel. She is my light and she guides me when ever I need
it. She is a true inspiration and a great friend and thankfully... a
musician too!
