The song was originally composed in the Amiga version of OctaMED. I recorded it but wasn't happy and it was full of copyrighted samples (eg Rush, Fish, the Cure, King Crimson, Red Dwarf). I saved the file for posterity and eventually started reworking in Windows MED - not exactly a remix, more like an continued development now I have better kit.

The song was recorded and mixed In CuBase because I needed to record several guitar tracks. MED was used to compose and arrange the tune, generate a midi file to be imported into CuBase, sequence drum samples and generate audio for the drum track, sequence additional percussion samples, sequence vocal samples and generate audio for some special effects. Of the 23 audio tracks in the finished tune, 6 were generated by MED, 10 were midi generated by MED played through VST instruments in CuBase and the rest were me playing guitar, bass and keyboards except for a track of ReBirth. Really looking forward to having VST Instruments in V2 by the way.

Wavelab and Reaktor were used for post-production. I have used MED or OctaMED in every single song I have made over the last 13 years (hundreds) but this is the first I've uploaded onto the interweb.

The Drum samples used were taken from Chronic Interactives LA Riot
and are licensed for my use.
Vocal samples are from a Computer Music Magazine coverdisk and they are
free to use on non-commercial projects.


To the best of my knowledge, no samples used in this track are
copyright and should this prove to be incorrect, I am willing to
indemnify RBF Software against any copyright infringement
charges that may ensue due to me including such samples.
