We asked Allister and Steve about how this exciting collection of
samples were put together...
(Allister) - "It was important to offer a wide variety of perfectly
recorded and musically useful samples. Our aim was to allow musicians
and MED enthusiasts to compose quickly and easily in a variety of
musical styles and to the highest quality yet experienced on a tracker
style program."
Allister Brimble and Steve Blenkinsopp have access to the latest digital
recording equipment in their private studios. Allister has composed
countless scores and sound tracks to many top selling games in all
formats....chances are, if you have bought a game in the last few years,
Allister will have been involved in the music or the sound effects.
With two excellent CD releases of his own, Allister knows what it takes
to get a "good mix" and set about amassing a huge collection of
contemporary sounds that would work well in combination with each other.
(Allister) - " I set about selecting and carefully recording the best
sounds from our range of instruments. Steve & I are fortunate to have
access to some great keyboards, and we edited many of the sounds 'till
they were just right. We used fantastic synths: such as the Kurzweil
K2000, Korg Z1, Roland JV1080, Yamaha TG77 and many others... every
sound was carefully looped and optimised for use in MED."
